3D lettering signs are very popularly utilized in today’s market for high visual appeal. 3D letters for exterior signs can be used outdoors for building signage, walls or entrance doorway signage.

Various methods of lighting can be applied to 3D lettering that further enhances the 3D effect. These include:

Full face lit - Face lit built up letters have a coloured Perspex facing letter. This has a light sourced mounted behind allowing the face and return to light up.
Face lit - This type of built up lettering consists of a coloured Perspex face letter with either an aluminium return or a contrast, non illuminating Perspex return. A light source is placed within the letter illuminating just the face and not the return.
Backlighting - This type of built up lettering lights the area around the back of a built up letter. The built up lettering is usually made from a material that is solid, not allowing any light to pass through the face or returns of the built up letter.
